Journey Home Film Festival: ATL Edition

The Journey Home Film Festival: ATL Edition is a U.S.-based expansion of the Journey Home Film Festival, originally founded in Monrovia, Liberia. Rooted in the spirit of cultural connection, creative expression, and Diaspora storytelling, the festival serves as a bridge between Africa, the Caribbean, and the global African Diaspora.

Hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, the Journey Home Film Festival: ATL Edition will be held on June 12 – 13, 2026. The ATL Edition brings together filmmakers, students, scholars, creatives, and community members to experience powerful films that explore themes of home, identity, memory, resilience, migration, and cultural legacy. Through curated film screenings, panels, workshops, and community conversations, the festival creates space for storytelling that honors the past while shaping the future.
